Paradise Getaways is not Orlando Vacations and Getaways

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Please stop confusing the Paradise Getaways in Michigan with the bad company, known as Orlando Vacations and Getaways in Florida. They are not even close to the same company. Paradise Getaways in Michigan is a reputable 5 Star honeymoon and destination wedding company that has 5 star reviews on Wedding Wire as well as, an A+ rating on the BBB in Michigan. The Paradise Getaways in Michigan has hundreds and hundreds of great reviews, while the Orlando Vacations and Getaways in Florida is not reputable at all, and may even be out of business by now. Paradise Getaways sells honeymoon and destination wedding packages, and has NEVER sold any vacation vouchers to Calypso Cey.

Paradise Getaways Trip Booking Review from Liverpool, New York

I purchased a trip to calso caye in 2011. I had 5 years to use it. When I went to make a make a reservation, the phone number was disconnected. I called the customer service number for weeks with no response.. they are a fraudulent company.I wrote to the attorney general of Florida. they did nothing for me. Do not ever get involved with this company. They make promises, take your money and then they disappear. I was ripped off for 499.00. I have a receipt for a trip that does not exist.

Paradise Getaways SCAM

Updated by user Jul 02, 2013

BBB has made 2nd contact with this company with no response as of 7/2/13

Original review May 31, 2013
I have purchased vacations before with no problems, agreeing to the 90 minute sales pitch in exchange for free theme park tickets, 3 years to book, etc. WELL, this company apparently does not exist. Every effort to reach them ends with the same sickening music and a promise to call back if name is left. The website even has a for sale sign on the domain!! Not to mention my browser didn't even want to connect the the email address they provided, because it was not authenticated. I spent 349 bucks for nothing. The resort was very sympathetic, had heard many similar stories about Paradise Getaways, but could not offer any thing but "so sorry".

Me too. Scammed for $349.

Silverlake resort says they have no affiliation with this company. I bought in 2012 with a 3 year window to book.

Called today, 12/2/14 to book for next year and got a voice mail with a full box. Does anyone know of any recourse?

I think there is no recourse available. I have only heard "it would cost way more to pursue". Live and learn I guess, people can really suck.

Tour package deal

While in Orlando last week 3/12/13 I checked out the address on my receipt and there was a hairsalon there. I was told other people had stopped in looking for the Paradise Getaways; therefore assume this is a scam company and our money is lost $199.00 Don't pay any money ahead. They sold us this Jan.2, 2012 and kept trying off and on since then to get someone on their phone to respond. An automated message was on but noone ever responded except one time in Oct. and she acted like she was going to send me a package for 5days and 2nights in Orlando and Daytona Beach, but never received anything.

Resort Tours

I was sold a package for a 5 day/4night in Central Fla. 2 theme park tickets, 3 days/2nights in Daytona Jan.5, 2012. After many emails, phone calls that are never answered, I have paid $199.00 and not received anything.Mr Cochrane sold me the package after much insisting. Several months After receiving the receipt, I tried to get in touch with them to book a reservation and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone.I finally contacted SilverLake resort and she gave me an email for Mr. Cochrane. He emailed me back and said to let him know when I wanted to go but he never answered my request. Started trying the Paradise # again and got thru once and she said she would send me an itinerary but never got one and couldn't get thru again. I contacted BBB and they are investigating now.

I bought a travel package to stay in resort in Florida over the phone. Was to have 3 yrs. to take the trip. All I was obligated to do was take a tour of the resort. When I called to make the reservation I was told I would be contacted by the resort, Calypso Cay. I did not hear for months! When I call the travel agency now, the name is Vip Vacations! They never answer the phone, you leave a message, they never call back. I asked for a refund if they could not get me booked, I never heard from them...
